To ensure a smooth transition we recommend that you upgrade machines to Mac OS X 10.12 or above before February 1st, 2019.

Bugs and issues found on or specific to unsupported operating systems will no longer be investigated or fixed.

New installations on unsupported operating systems will be blocked.

It is not advised to continue to run on these unsupported operating systems. These clients will continue to run, but their functionality will no longer be tested.

Existing OneDrive sync client installations on unsupported operating systems will stop updating.

How users will be impacted on February 1 st, 2019: Note: Both Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 and Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 are out of Apple’s mainline support since August 2017 and August 2018 respectively. As such, we are ending support for the OneDrive Desktop application (sync client) on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 and Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 effective February 1st, 2019. To support that commitment, we must focus our resources on new technologies and operating systems that our users are adopting and minimize our investments where that isn’t the case.
